Senior Subject Selection
Year 10 students are required to make important choices in relation to the pathway chosen in the transition from school to work. Students are provided with access to the Senior Subject Selection Handbook at the beginning of Term 3 and are counselled about alternative pathways and the range of Higher School Certificate courses available at the school, as well as those available through external providers. It is recommended that students consult parents and teachers about their intended subject choices. During Week 4 of Term 3, students and their families will attend an information evening and students and students will be issued with an individualised student code to make their senior subject selection. At the end of Week 6 of Term 3, students will attend the Senior School Interview Day, at which individualised counselling regarding subject choices will take place, and the subject selection process will be finalised.
The Senior Subject Selection Handbook which contains details about the requirements for the completion of the Higher School Certificate and each of the subjects offered in the senior school is uploaded to the school’s website.
